Captain Mike Marian led his East End Terriers squad from a 6-4 record and a #3 East Side Conference playoff seeding to the Finals of the MRHL Spring 2009 League Championship. Building on that success the team finished with a 7-1-2 record in the Fall 2009 regular season and then won the league championship in two games straight over the defending champs Professor Thom’s. The team, entering its fourth season in the MRHL, has a core of Boston University alumni on their roster and a healthy dose of various free agent players who have been on teams together the past few seasons. A solid mix of life-long inline and ice hockey players, the team's experience ranges from Division 1 college roller hockey (NCRHA), to Chelsea Piers roller and ice hockey, to all past seasons of the MRHL.
The Terriers are sponsored by an upscale Irish-American bar and restaurant called The East End (www.eastendbar.com) located in the heart of the Upper East Side on 86th Street and First Avenue. With ten 42 inch high definition TV’s, including a large projection screen, The East End is the perfect place to watch College Football, College Basketball, NFL, Baseball, Basketball, Premiership Matches, Gaelic Football, and Rugby. In addition, The East End specializes in all types of special events and offers a full menu from noon-10pm daily, complete with the newly added 12-flavor wing menu. Stop by on Saturday and Sunday for brunch, which includes a classic Irish breakfast hailed as one of the best in New York City.
